Talk about star power: In spite of the play’s serious subject matter, the still-in-previews A Steady Rain is literally packing them in at the Gerard Schoenfeld Theatre. The new play topped the magic $1 million mark in grosses as theatergoers flocked to see Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. Three plays began previews on during the last official week of summer (After Miss Julie, Superior Donuts, The Royal Family), and God of Carnage continued to challenge the big musicals for top honors in both grosses (just missing the top five) and capacity.
