Is bigger always better? That's the question Beth Leavel, Mamma Mia!'s incoming Donna Sheridan, is struggling with this week. We've followed Leavel, who is taking on a mother of a role in the ABBA-rific musical beginning on September 22, in the rehearsal room and at her costume fitting. Now the Tony winner is in the final stages of preparing to step onstage at the Winter Garden Theatre... but she has a dilemma: Which dressing room better suits her? Should she pick the "star" dressing room, which is by far the larger space (close your eyes and picture it brimming with break-a-leg cards, fan letters and roses), or should she choose the room usually occupied by the actress playing Sophie? Sure, it's purple, but it also sports extra windows, a special history and (more importantly) a private bathroom. This one or that one? That's the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of too small a space or a shared restroom. Watch the video to find out Leavel's choice in her always-entertaining and unique fashion.
P.S. Don’t forget to come back for the final installment in our series on Leavel’s road to becoming a Dynamo.
