Cute couple Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy were married "earlier this month" at a small ceremony attended by family and close friends, according to Life & Style magazine. The wedding reportedly took place in France. No other details have been revealed, although published reports previously indicated that Danes had tapped Narciso Rodriguez to design her wedding gown. Dancy, 34, and Danes, 30, announced their engagement in February 2009.
The two actors met when they appeared together in the 2007 feature film Evening. Dancy then became indirectly responsible for his sweetheart’s Broadway debut: After starring in the Broadway revival of Journey’s End, he introduced Danes to his director, David Grindley, who tapped her to play Eliza Doolittle in his fall 2007 revival of Pygmalion.
Dancy has just been announced as the star of MCC Theater’s forthcoming off-Broadway production of The Pride alongside fellow Brit Ben Whishaw. He won raves as a young New Yorker with Asperper’s syndrome in the summer movie release Adam. Danes, a Golden Globe winner for My So-Called Life, most recently appeared in the film Me and Orson Welles.
