A Little Night Music Returns to Broadway

The Broadway revival of A Little Night Music, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, begins performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler, the musical was last seen on Broadway in 1973. Trevor Nunn directs.

A Little Night Music is based on the Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Night. Set in Sweden at the turn of the twentieth century, it follows three lovestruck couples as they lose, and find, each other during a long midsummer night on a country estate.

Also featured in the cast are Aaron Lazar, Erin Davie, Leigh Ann Larkin, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Ramona Mallory, Bradley Dean, Marissa McGowan, Betsy Morgan, Karen Murphy, Jayne Paterson and Kevin David Thomas.
