Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last seven years, you’ve at least heard of Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel. The unfalteringly likable star, currently featured as Hair’s lively hippie Claude, has starred in hits like 2002’s Thoroughly Modern Millie and 2004’s La Cage aux Folles, building a reputation as one of the most down-to-earth, approachable guys in the business in the process. Creel’s charm was on display in Broadway.com’s own studios not that long ago, when he (and his pooch Wally) dropped in to answer your questions as one of our featured Ask a Stars. And now the leading man is back again, showing off his vocal prowess and sharing tales from the Broadway boards with Newsweek.com. Watch the video to check out their (kind of adorable) chat with Creel about everything from his botched first Broadway audition to the major equality march he and the Hair tribe will be part of in Washington D.C. on October 11. And he sings, too!
