Anyone who saw her drop "naked' from a sheet onto Antonio Banderas' lap in Nine knows that Jane Krakowski can do sexy. Anyone who saw her charm every man at Berlin's Grand Hotel knows that Jane Krakowski can do sweet. And anyone who's laughed at the career travails of Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock knows that Jane Krakowski can do funny.
Happily, she's showing all her fabulous sides in Jane Krakowski Has Sold Out...Tickets Available, her stellar cabaret act on display at Feinstein's at the Loews Regency through October 17. Fear not: This is no dull career retrospective. Instead, like the greats of the genre, Krakowski lends her talents to an interesting batch of songs, ranging from classic sexy choices like "The Laziest Gal In Town" and the double-entendre laced "Handy Man" to showtunes like "A Little Brains, a Little Talent" (which she sang in last year's Damn Yankees) to a winning pairing of "I'm Old Fashioned" and "Old Fashioned Girl." Keeping things light was a "hip-hop" version of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and a hilarious reworking of "Zip" by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman called "Tweet" that worked a mouthful of pop culture references into the classic tune.
