Glee is heading to the big leagues. The cast of the popular Fox series will perform during the World Series, according to The Los Angeles Times. The Fox network confirmed that major League Baseball has agreed to let the cast sing the national anthem during game three of the series.
Glee, which features a host of Broadway veterans in a musical comedy series about high school underdogs, is one of Fox's hits of the new season. Fox, which also carries the October baseball classic, was recently snubbed by a rival network: NBC reneged on their invitation to have the Glee cast perform during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which it broadcasts.
Game three of the World Series is currently scheduled for October 31 and will be in either Los Angeles or Philadelphia, depending on the outcome of the playoffs.
