Michele Lee, Debra Monk, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Casey Wilson will join the rotating cast of the off-Broadway hit Love, Loss and What I Wore from January 6 through January 31. Joining them is returning cast member Katie Finneran, who will also participate in the just announced holiday cast of previous performers: Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins, Natasha Lyonne, Mary Louis Wilson, who will star in the show, directed by Karen Carpenter, from December 16 through January 3, 2010.
Nora and Delia Ephron’s the collection of intimate stories (based on the book by Ilene Beckerman) features a rotating cast of five women, who perform in four-week cycles. The current cast (through November 15) includes Mary Birdsong, Tyne Daly, Lisa Joyce, Jane Lynch and Mary Louise Wilson. Next up will be the previously announced Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins, Rhea Perlman and Rita Wilson from November 18 through December 13 cast.
Lee is known for her Emmy-nominated role on TV’s Knots Landing. She earned Tony nominations for her performances in the Seesaw and The Tale of The Allergist’s Wife. Her other credits include the stage and screen version of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, the films The Love Bug and Along Came Polly and TV roles in Big Dreams and Broken Hearts: The Dottie West Story, Color Me Perfect.
Monk won a Tony Award for her work in Redwood Curtain and received Tony nominations for performances in Picnic, Steel Pier and Curtains. She also appeared on Broadway in Prelude to a Kiss, Nick & Nora, Company, Ah, Wilderness!, Thou Shalt Not, Reckless and Chicago. Her most recent television credits include the hit TV shows Grey’s Anatomy and Glee.
Ross is best known for her role on Girlfriends. Her recent features include Labor Pains, HBO’s Life Support, Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls and Hanging Up. Her theater credits include Los Angeles productions of What Would Jimi Do?, The Vagina Monologues and Blackout.
Wilson has been seen as a featured player on Saturday Night Live and in the films For Your Consideration and Julie and Julia. She co-wrote the film Bride Wars. The show, which opened on October 1 at the Westside Theatre, has been extended through March 2010.
