Shrek Celebrates a Year of Flying Its Freak Flag on Broadway

Shrek celebrated a year on Broadway on November 8. The musical, which follows the adventures of a swamp-dwelling ogre and a host of fairy-tale creatures, made merry with Crumbs cupcakes on stage at the Broadway Theatre before the matinee. The treats were sweet, but the event was bittersweet. The performance marked the last for star Brian d’Arcy James. Ben Crawford will get into Shrek’s considerable makeup and costume eight times a week beginning on November 10. Wish Shrek a very happy birthday by checking out these pics!
