Superior Donuts Closes Shop

Tracy Lett's Superior Donuts plays its final performance at Broadway's Music Box Theatre.

A provocative comedy set in the heart of one of Chicago’s most diverse communities, Superior Donuts centers on Arthur Przybyszewski (Michael McKean) who owns a decrepit doughnut shop in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Franco Wicks (Jon Michael Hill), a black teenager who is his only employee, wants to change the shop for the better. The play explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship.
