Stephen Colbert, the host of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, usually spends his late-night slot lampooning social issues and skewering politicians, but the tongue-in-cheek series got artsy on December 7, welcoming Fela! director/choreographer Bill T. Jones as a guest. After a pithy interview (which included Colbert greeting Jones with, "Hakuna Matata!"), leading man Sahr Ngaujah, band Antibalas and members of the Fela! ensemble took the stage for a performance of their show's most recognizable number, Fela Kuti's "Zombie." It was a performance unlike any the Colbert stage has ever seen. Click on to watch the performance rock the Colbert Nation!
