Broadway.com to Unveil Side by Side by Susan Blackwell; Premiere Episode Features Benanti, Foster & Groff

Broadway.com will premiere Side by Side by Susan Blackwell, an original monthly talk show conceived, written and hosted by [title of show] star Susan Blackwell on Monday, December 14.

Blackwell, who has previously hosted special event videos for Broadway.com, will separately interview three Broadway stars in each episode of Side by Side by Susan Blackwell in the morning, afternoon and evening of one fabulous New York City day.

Directed and produced by Paul Wontorek, the premiere episode of Side by Side by Susan Blackwell features Tony Award winner Sutton Foster of Shrek the Musical, Tony nominee Jonathan Groff of Spring Awakening and Tony winner Laura Benanti, currently starring in In the Next Room or The Vibrator Play.

Blackwell has also written a theme song for Side by Side by Susan Blackwell, which is performed by The Mighty Weaklings. A gaggle of Broadway personalities are featured in the show's opening credits.

In addition to starring in the off-Broadway and Broadway incarnations of [title of show], Blackwell has been seen off-Broadway in Speech and Debate, Anon, Working Title, Vilna's Got a Golem and The Heidi Chronicles. Her film and TV credits include P.S. I Love You, Margot at the Wedding, The Sopranos, The Good Wife and Law and Order.

Blackwell's first collaboration with Broadway.com came in 2008, when she hosted Tony Awards night party-hopping coverage alongside her [title of show] co-stars.
