Clearly, the fans love the way Constantine Maroulis rocks it onstage at Rock of Ages’ Brooks Atkinson Theatre. But how (and where) does the Tony Award nominee with the shredding tenor voice (and swagger to match) roll when the curtain comes down? We asked Maroulis to share his personal picks for the best of the year with us. Read on to find about more about the man under the mane.

Best Date Spot: “Ella Lounge [9 Avenue A] on the Lower East Side.”
Best Place to Watch a Yankee Game: “The Legends Seats at Yankee Stadium.”
Best Concert You Attended: “The last Bruce Springsteen concert at Giants Stadium. He played the whole Born to Run album."
Best Onstage Mishap: “Any of the many number of times we break character onstage by cracking each other up, a la Saturday Night Live when Jimmy Fallon was still on. I think that happens at least once a month.”
Best TV Show: “Mad Men!”
Best Stage Door Remark: “I really like when people say I look tired—not! Ha!”
Best Silly Interviewer Question: “Oh, there are some bad ones. I guess when people ask my opinion about really gossipy stuff. You know, ‘What do you think of so-and-so?’ It’s so silly. Ask about cool stuff, please!”
Best Fan Letter or Gift: “I have the greatest fans. They are the best in the world and are always getting me cool stuff—too much to list or just pick one. Let me just say THANK YOU FANS instead.”
Best CD/Album: “Always Jeff Buckley’s Grace.”
Best Backstage Visitor: “Miley Cyrus! People are still talking about it. She’s a great kid.”
Best Reason to Be on Broadway: “I really love my job and coming to work every day. We have a great show, and I love performing with these talented artists. I was in the right place at the right time [for Rock of Ages] and am more grateful than anyone will ever know. Thank you, Broadway!”
