Three-time Tony nominee Casey Nicholaw has signed on to direct All About Me, the forthcoming Broadway collaboration between singer Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna Everage (the comic character created by Barry Humphries), according to The New York Times. Nicholaw replaces Jerry Zaks, who departed to serve as “creative consultant” of the Broadway-bound musical The Addams Family. All About Me will begin previews at Henry Miller’s Theatre on February 19 and open on March 18.
Billed as “a singular and spectacular musical entertainment,” All About Me is being written by Christopher Durang and produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Robert G. Bartner and the Ambassador Theater Group.
Nicholaw received Tony nominations for directing and choreographing The Drowsy Chaperone and choreographing Spamalot. His most recent directing credits include the Broadway play To Be or Not to Be and the Los Angeles premiere of the musical Minsky’s. As a performer, Nicholaw appeared in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Suessical, Saturday Night Fever, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Steel Pier, Victor/Victoria, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public and Crazy for You.
