Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays, Elisabeth Waterston and Rocco Sisto will star in Theatre for a New Audience's upcoming production of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure. The show, directed by Arin Arbus, begins previews February 6, with opening slated for February 14. The limited engagement runs through March 14 at The Duke Theatre on 42nd Street.
In addition to Mays, Waterston and Sisto, Measure for Measure will feature Samara Bay (subUrbia), Alyssa Bresnahan (Hamlet), Joe Forbrich (A Soldier's Play), John Christopher Jones (Broadway's The Goodbye Girl, Heartbreak House), John Keating (Broadway's A Tailor-Made Man), Robert Langdon Lloyd (Broadway's Amadeus), Leroy McClain (Broadway's Cymbeline), Alfredo Narciso (Broadway's A Streetcar Named Desire), Mary Testa (Broadway's Xanadu), Graham Winton (Broadway's The Tempest) and Rose Seccareccia in her off-Broadway debut.
Mays (the Duke) received a Tony Award for his turn in 2004's acclaimed I Am My Own Wife. Additional Broadway credits include Pygmalion and Journey's End.
Waterston (Isabella) has been seen off-Broadway in The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing.
Rocco Sisto (Angelo) has been seen on Broadway in A Month in the Country, Amadeus and To Be Or Not To Be. Off-Broadway credits include Kaos, Palace of the End and The Bacchae.
Creative team for the play includes Peter Ksander (sets), Marcus Doshi (lights), Sarah Pickett (original music) who are joined by David Zinn (costumes) Jane Shaw (sound design) and John Caraffa (movement).
