Michael Mosley will complete the cast of Roundabout Theatre Company's forthcoming off-Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie. The production, directed by Gordon Edelstein, begins previews on March 5 at the Laura Pels Theatre. Opening is set for March 24. The limited engagement plays thought May 30.
Mosley will play "Gentleman Caller" Jim O'Connor opposite previously announced players Judith Ivey (Amanda Wingfield), Patch Darragh (Tom Wingfield) and Keira Keeley (Laura Wingfield).
Williams’ semi-autobiographical memory play focuses on Tom Wingfield, who sits writing in a hotel room, trying to forge his past into art. Soon Tom’s space is overtaken by the cramped apartment he once shared with his mother Amanda, his beloved sister Laura and unrequited dreams as fragile as Laura’s collection of tiny glass animals. In that shared space, Tom relives gentleman caller Jim O'Connor's visit on the night that changed his family forever.
Mosley appeared off-Broadway in Manhattan Theatre Club's Back Back Back. His numerous television credits include the current season of Scrubs, as well as Three Rivers, Kings, Generation Kill, The Mentalist, The Wire, Kidnapped and The Education of Max Bickford. Film credits include Smart Bomb, Brother to Brother, Swimmers, 27 Dresses, The Accidental Husband and The Proposal.
The design team for The Glass Menagerie includes Michael Yeargan (sets), Martin Pakledinaz (costumes), Jennifer Tipton (lights) and David Budries (sound).
