The cast is set for Come Fly Away. The show will star Matthew Dibble, Holley Farmer, Laura Mead, Charlie Neshyba-Hodges, Rika Okamoto, Karine Plantadit, Keith Roberts and John Selya, all of whom appeared in the world premiere at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre in the fall. The show, which is conceived, choreographed and directed by Tony winner Twyla Tharp and features vocals by Frank Sinatra, will begin previews at Broadway’s Marquis Theatre and open there on March 25.
Come Fly Away reunites Tharp with several original cast members from her musical Movin’ Out, including Alexander Brady, Okamoto and Plantadit, as well as Tony nominees Roberts, Selya and Ashley Tuttle.
The company also includes: Kristine Bendul, Colin Bradbury, Todd Burnsed, Jeremy Cox, Carolyn Doherty, Amanda Edge, Cody Green, Heather Hamilton, Laurie Kanyok, Meredith Miles, Marielys Molina, Eric Otto, Justin Peck, Joel Prouty and Ron Todorowski.
Come Fly Away follows four couples as they fall in and out of love during one song and dance filled evening at a crowded nightclub. Blending the legendary vocals of Sinatra with a live onstage 19-piece big band and 15 dancers, the show features a hit parade of classics, including “Fly Me to the Moon,” “My Way” and “That’s Life.”
