Jenn Gambatese Targets Goodspeed's Annie Get Your Gun

Broadway vet Jenn Gambatese will take the lead in Goodspeed Musicals' Annie Get Your Gun, opening the company's season, starring as gun-slinger Annie Oakley. The tuner, directed by Rob Ruggiero (who is about to be represented on Broadway by Looped), begins performances on April 16 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut.

Gambatese was last seen on Broadway in Is He Dead? and has also appeared on the Great White Way in Tarzan, All Shook Up, A Year With Frog and Toad, Hairspray and Footloose. Off-Broadway, she has been seen in Reefer Madness.

No other casting for the production has been announced at this time. Goodspeed will follow Annie Get Your Gun with Band Geeks! (May 13 through June 6), Carnival! (July 9 through September 18) and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (September 24 through November 28).

Annie Get Your Gun will play through June 27.
