Trevor Nunn will direct the first major London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1987 musical Aspects of Love at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory, according to Variety. The show will begin performances on July 3 and run through September 11. No casting as been announced.
Nunn directed the original production of Aspects of love, featuring a book and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, as well as Lloyd Webber's Cats, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard and The Woman in White. An overlapping story of love affairs, the original London and Broadway productions of Aspects of Love starred Michael Ball, Ann Crumb and Kathleen Rowe McAllen.
The Menier season will also include previously announced revivals of Willy Russell’s Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine and the new musical Paradise Found, starring Mandy Patinkin, Kate Baldwin, John Cullum, Shuler Hensley and Judy Kaye and co-directed by Harold Prince and Susan Stroman.
A breeding ground for Broadway productions, the Menier’s A Little Night Music (directed by Nunn) is currently running at the Walter Kerr and its revival of La Cage aux Folles is set to begin previews on April 6 at the Longacre Theatre.
