Judy Gold, Melissa Joan Hart, Shirley Knight and Doris Roberts are set to join the off-Broadway hit Love, Loss and What I Wore. Gold, Hart and Knight will join the April cast (March 31 - April 25), while Roberts will join the cast beginning April 28 (through May 23) at the Westside Theatre.
Emmy-winning funny lady Gold is known for her off-Broadway hit 25 Questions For A Jewish Mother and numerous television appearances. Hart is best known for her TV roles on Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch as well as her recent stint as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. Knight is a Tony winner (for Kennedy's Children) and two-time Oscar nominee (for Sweet Bird of Youth and The Dark at the Top of the Stairs) with a lengthy career on stage, film and television. Roberts is perhaps best known for her nine seasons on Everybody Loves Raymond as well as her many other TV roles.
Directed by Karen Carpenter, Love, Loss and What I Wore is based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman as well as on the recollections of Nora and Delia Ephron and their friends. The current cast (through March 28) includes Didi Conn, Fran Drescher, Jayne Houdyshell, Carol Kane and Natasha Lyonne. Additional casting for April and May will be announced shortly.
