Tony Award nominee and Broadway.com Audience Award winner Christopher Fitzgerald will indulge in a night of solo stardom on March 28, taking the stage at Feinstein’s for a night of “silliness, sentiment and songs.” David Turner will serve as musical director.
Fitzgerald will sing from the catalogues of such composers as Cole Porter, Ben Folds and (yes!) the muppet Gonzo, including classics like “When I’m Not Near the Girl I Love,” “Something to Live For,” “Josephina, Please No Lean-a On the Bell” and “Frankfurter Sandwiches.”
Fitzgerald was most recently seen on Broadway in the revival of Finian’s Rainbow. His other Broadway credits include Wicked, Amour and Young Frankenstein, which earned him a Tony Award nomination and a Broadway.com Audience Award win. Off-Broadway, he has appeared in Stairway to Paradise, Fully Committed, Saturday Night, Wise Guys, Corpus Christi, The Cripple of Inishmaan and at Encores! in Babes in Arms.
