On December 4, 1956, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins joined forces at Memphis’s Sun Records for what would become the greatest jam session in rock 'n' roll history. On March 22, 2010, Million Dollar Quartet stars Eddie Clendening, Lance Guest, Levi Kreis and Robert Britton Lyons, as well as co-stars Elizabeth Stanley and Hunter Foster, gathered at New York’s Avatar Studios to record the original Broadway cast album for their hot new show, which recreates the story of the fabled 1956 meeting. The six stars laid down their version of famous hits like “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “I Walk the Line,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and more for the show’s original Broadway cast recording. Needless to say, there was a “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.” Click through a for a sneak peek at Million Dollar Quartet’s rocking Broadway studio session.
