Addams Family Star Wesley Taylor Plans Joe's Pub Concert

Wesley Taylor, who plays Lucas Beineke in the Broadway musical The Addams Family, will headline a new concert at Joe’s Pub on May 3. Titled “Wes Taylor and Friends,” the evening will feature special guest artists Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie), Mitch Jarvis (Fiddler on the Roof, Rock of Ages), Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) and Krysta Rodriguez (In the Heights, The Addams Family).

“Without giving too much away, we’ll be doing pop tunes and show tunes, some stuff I wrote with Lauren Molina, some new-composer stuff and some classic standards,” Taylor said in a statement. The actor and guests will be accompanied by Addams Family musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell on piano, Jason Reischel on guitar, Christian Imboden on bass guitar and Damien Bassman on drums.

Prior to joining The Addams Family, Taylor originated the role of Franz in the Broadway and off-Broadway productions of Rock of Ages, earning a Theatre World Award and an Outer Critics Circle nomination for Best Featured Actor.
