Glee star and Broadway vet Lea Michele and God of Carnage star Jeff Daniels will announce the nominees for the 64th annual Tony Awards on May 4 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The announcement ceremony will be held at 8:30 AM.
Michele, who created the role of Wendla in Spring Awakening, made her Broadway debut as Young Cosette and Young Eponine in Les Miserables. She has appeared on Broadway in the original production of Ragtime and the revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Michele is currently starring as Rachel Berry in the hit Fox series Glee.
Daniels received a 2009 Tony nomination for creating the role of Alan in the Broadway production of God of Carnage and is currently back in Tony-winning play as Michael. His other Broadway credits include Redwood Curtain, The Golden Age, Fifth of July and Gemini.
The 2010 Tony Awards will be broadcast live by CBS in a three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on June 13.
