Tony Award nominated powerhouse Sherie Rene Scott's semi-biographical Everyday Rapture opened to absolute raves when it hit off-Broadway's Second Stage in May 2009. After The New York Times called it one of the best of the year, the buzz began: Would Rapture move to Broadway? The answer came in March 2010, when the cancellation Roundabout Theatre Company's Lips Together, Teeth Apart revival left the American Airlines Theatre without a resident. On April 29, Scott's pop-music punctuated comedic tale of a small-town girl's journey from uber-religious Kansas to the unholy Broadway stage officially opened, bringing Scott back to Broadway in a true starring role. We sent Word of Mouth reviewers Sam, Deanna and Randi to see what they thought of this surprise transfer.
