Amazingly, the answer is yes, so it made perfect sense for cast members from the Broadway revival of Hair to spend their day off at the posh Bumble and Bumble salon, raising awareness for Matter of Trust, an environmental group that helps clean up oil spills by stuffing nylon stockings with donated hair to create highly absorbent “booms.” On May 24, Diana DeGarmo and other members of the Tribe turned out to greet New Yorkers who lined up for free haircuts, with their shorn locks gathered for a very worthy cause.
