The Atlantic Theater Company’s production of Moira Buffini's Gabriel has extended for two weeks at off-Broadway’s Linda Gross Theater. The play, which opened to strong reviews on May 13, was originally scheduled to close June 6 but will now run through June 20, directed by David Esbjornson.
Gabriel centers on a largely forgotten part in British history, the German occupation of the Channel Islands during World War II. A naked young man washes up on a Guernsey beach. Unnervingly handsome and fluent in both German and English, he has no recollection of who he is—patriot or Nazi, innocent or madman.
Gabriel stars Tony Award nominee Zach Grenier, Patricia Conolly, Lisa Emery, Lee Aaron Rosen, Samantha Soule and Libby Woodbridge.
