Flashback! 42nd Street Hoofers Tap Their Way to the 2001 Tonys

Over the course of decades of CBS Tony Award telecasts, there have been some pretty amazing opening numbers (and some pretty cheesy ones, too!), but this one takes the cake as one of the best. In 2001, the cast of the Broadway revival of 42nd Street literally tapped their way from the stage of the Ford Center for the Performing Arts (on 42nd St., of course) to Radio City Music Hall for the big show. Come and meet those dancing feet as they flap down the street, onto the subway and into the hearts of everyone watching the 2001 Tony Awards ceremony!
