Bianca Marroquin Heading to In the Heights

Bianca Marroquin will take up shop as In the Heights’outspoken hairdresser Daniela beginning June 12 at the Richard Rogers Theatre. She will stay with the production until August 15.

Marroquin previously appeared on Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago and in The Pajama Game. Her other stage credits include Bye Bye Birdie, And the World Goes Round, Rent and The Phantom of the Opera.

As of June 12 In The Heights will star Corbin Blue as Usnavi, a bodega owner who sells a winning lottery ticket in New York City’s Washington Heights neighborhood, as well as Janet Dacal, Marcy Harriell, Christopher Jackson, Priscilla Lopez, Rick Negron and Olga Merediz. In the Heights opened on Broadway on March 9, 2008, and won four Tony Awards (Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations). The show is directed by Thomas Kail.
