Broadway veteran and TV star John Stamos is in talks to join the cast of Glee when the series returns for its second season this fall, according to Entertainment Weekly. Stamos would take on the role of the dentist beau of guidance counselor Emma (Jayma Mays), an as-yet unseen character who was alluded to in the series' June 8 finale. “There’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be than on Glee next season,” the actor said on his Twitter page.
Stamos appeared on Broadway last season as Albert Peterson in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Bye Bye Birdie. His other Broadway credits include Nine, Cabaret and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He is best known for his seven-year run as Uncle Jesse Katsopolis on the hit TV series Full House. Stamos has also starred in Thieves, Jake in Progress and ER.
