Earlier this week, producers announced that the first ever revival of Funny Girl is headed to Broadway in 2012. The original 1964 production turned a little-known 21-year-old actress named Barbra Streisand into a superstar, as she took on the true story of chorus clown-turn-Zeigfeld Follies headliner Fanny Brice. Whoever tackles the iconic role surely has big shoes to fill, and she'd better have a big set of pipes: Fanny sings nearly every song in the score, including classic showstoppers “People,” “Sadie, Sadie” and “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” Naturally there’s much buzz about who should earn the bragging rights of “I’m The Greatest Star” as Broadway’s Funny Girl. So we’re asking fans, what actress do you want to see cast as Fanny Brice? Note: The show begins with Fanny as a teenager, so for authenticity's sake we're only considering actresses who will be younger than 40 when the production starts. Vote below!
