The Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Hair plays its final performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Composed by Galt MacDermot with book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, Hair tells the story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam era. Its groundbreaking rock score includes hits such as “Aquarius,” “Let the Sun Shine In,” “Easy to Be Hard,” “Good Morning Starshine” and the title song. The Broadway revival is directed by Diane Paulus.
The production will have played 29 previews and 519 performances upon closing.
