Last month, Broadway fans everywhere decided which of their favorites of the 2009-2010 season deserved Broadway.com Audience Awards, and now it's time to give out some trophies! American Idiot's John Gallagher Jr. scored his first Audience Award in 2007 for his memorable turn as Moritz in Spring Awakening, and fans' appreciation for this talented young leading man hasn't gone dormant: This time around, he was voted Favorite Leading Actor in a Musical. With his fellow Idiots on hand to congratulate him, Gallagher graciously accepted his trophy by thanking fans and also acknowledging the hard work of the behind-the-scenes crew at the St. James Theatre.
