Alice Ripley Plans Daily Practice Solo Concerts

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley will perform solo concerts titled Daily Practice with Alice Ripley on July 31 at 9:30pm and August 28 at 11pm at Backstage Dopo Teatro, a performance space in a theater district Italian restaurant. The concerts will feature what's being billed as an eclectic mix of well known songs and new compositions. (Our favorite part of the announcement is the accompanying drama queen photo of the star taken by Running with Scissors author Augusten Burroughs.)

Ripley is currently starring in Next to Normal and will depart the Broadway production on July 18 before headlining the show's national tour beginning November 23 in Los Angeles. Her other stage credits include Side Show, The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard and The Who's Tommy.
