The West End production of Legally Blonde is set to receive its own cast recording. The album, recorded live at the Savoy Theatre, features music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and will be released on August 16. The cast will sign the new recording at Dress Circle in London on August 21 at noon.
The London cast recording of Legally Blonde will include 18 songs from the musical, including “Omigod You Guys,” “Serious”, “Whipped Into Shape”, “Bend and Snap” and “So Much Better.” Featured on the album will be Sheridan Smith as Elle Woods, Richard Flesshman as Warner Huntington III, Jill Halfpenny as Paulette, Peter Davison as Professor Callahan, Alex Gaumond as Emmett and Aoife Mulholland as Brooke. The ensemble includes Emma Bateman, Dan Burton, Darren Carnall, Chris Ellis-Stanton, Nadine Higgin, Ibinabo Jack, Caroline Keiff, Amy Lennox, Suzie McAdam, Andy Mace, Susan McFadden, Matthew McKenna, Sorelle Marsh, Sean Mulligan, Roxanne Palmer, Sergio Prifitis, Tamara Wall and Ed White.
Legally Blonde opened at the Savoy Theatre on January 13, 2010, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell.
