Looks like Love, Loss and What I Wore co-author Nora Ephron is a real-life fashion expert! The playwright and director has been tapped for Vanity Fair's 2010 International Best-Dressed List. She joins stylish stars such as Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, David Beckham, Lady Gaga, Alec Baldwin, Michelle Obama, Helena Bonham Carter, Ed Burns, Javier Bardem, Martin Scorsese and Brian Williams.
In a questionaire provided by the magazine Ephron named several of her favorite clothing items and (no surprise!) much like the Love, Loss scene "Clothesline-Black" (which discusses New Yorkers' affinity for the color) nearly every one of her selections comes in the dark tone. Ephron says her favorite item of clothing is her black turtleneck Chanel sweater, while her best purchase this year was "a pair of very skinny black pants at Issey Miyake." She also praises a pair of black boots from Stuart Weitzman and her pearl earrings from Cathy Waterman, while calling TV news anchor Diane Sawyer her style idol. Eprhon even names the Public Theater as her favorite cause to support.
The full list appears in Vanity Fair's September issue, featuring Lady Gaga on the cover.
