So You Think You Can Dance stars Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev will join the national tour of Burn the Floor when it launches in Portland on September 7. They will perfrom in cities such as San Diego, Seattle and Philadelphia before departing on November 28 after the tour's Fort Lauderdale engagement. Both dancers recently completed a stint in the West End production of the ballroom dance show and are also vets of the Broadway incarnation of Burn the Floor.
Garnis and Kovalev both appeared on the third season of FOX's popular dance contest and recently returned for the show's seventh season as "All-Star" dancers. They have also appeared on TV's Dancing With the Stars and Superstars of Dance. Joining Garnis and Kovalev on tour are fellow So You Think You Can Dance veterans Ashleigh Di Lello, Robbie Kmetoni, Janette Manrara and Karen Hauer.
After touring the world, Burn the Floor landed on Broadway on August 2, 2009. The show played for 185 performances and featured guest performers such as So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy, Dancing With the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson as well as Anya and Pasha.
