Tony winning composer Jason Robert Brown will make his West End concert debut alongside Tony winner Anika Noni Rose on September 24 and 25 at the Garrick Theatre. Brown will perform songs from several of his hit shows as well as previously unheard material. He will be accompanied by his band, the Caucasian Rhythm Kings, and a four-piece French horn section.
Brown is a Tony winner for the 1998 musical Parade. His other shows include 13 and off-Broadway's Songs for a New World and The Last Five Years. Anika Noni Rose received a Tony Award for her performance in Caroline, or Change. Her other Broadway credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Footloose. Her film credits include movie musicals Dreamgirls, The Princess and the Frog and From Justin to Kelly. She has also appeared on TV's The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and The Starter Wife.
The two-night concert event is produced by Neil Eckersley and Paul Spicer and will feature lighting design by Mike Henderson and sound design by James Tebb.
