As the summer movie season comes to an end, we wanted to know what recent hit film you'd like to see adapted for the Broadway stage. The votes are in! Fans hope Woody, Buzz, Jesse, Rex, Mr. Potato Head and the rest of the Toy Story 3 gang will play on stage soon. The animated Disney/Pixar film, which has grossed a whopping $403 million since its release in June, landed at the top spot with 24% of votes. Disney is currently represented on Broadway with The Lion King and Mary Poppins, and has previously worked their theatrical magic on other films such as Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan and The Little Mermaid.
Following in a close second place is the indie hit, The Kids Are All Right, starring Broadway veterans Julianne Moore, Annette Bening and Mark Ruffalo. The dramedy about a pair of teenagers who meet their sperm donor father for the first time scored 20% of votes. Glee creator Ryan Murphy's film adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's bestselling memoir Eat Pray Love came in third place with 18% of votes.
Rounding out the top five are Christopher Nolan's mindbending thriller Inception and the animated Dispicable Me with 11% and 8% of votes, respectively.
