Tony winner Faith Prince is readying her dancing shoes as she prepares to join the national tour of Billy Elliot as Mrs. Wilkinson. The star will begin performances in the musical on October 30 in Durham, North Carolina. For this second leg of the Billy tour, the title role will rotate between Giuseppe Bausilio, Michael Dameski, Kylend Hetherington, Lex Ishimoto and Daniel Russel. The tour will make stops in Cleveland, Minneapolis, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, Denver, St. Louis and other cities.
Prince won a Tony Award for the 1992 revival of Guys and Dolls. She also received nominations for A Catered Affair and Bells Are Ringing. Her other Broadway credits include Noises Off, The Little Mermaid, Little Me, James Joyce's The Dead, The King and I, What's Wrong With This Picture, Nick and Nora and Jerome Robbins' Broadway.
The cast will also feature Rich Hebert as Dad, Patti Perkins as Grandma, Jeff Kready as Blum, Rachel Mracna as Debbie, Beverly Ward as Mum and Patrick Wetzel as Mr. Braithwaite. Griffin Birney and Jacob Zelonky will alternate in the role of Michael. The ensemble is composed of Maximilien A. Baud, Craig Bennett, Kirrilee Berger, Michael Biren, Damien Brett, Samantha Cutler, Jason DePinto, Jennifer Evans, J. Austin Eyer, Andrew Fitch, Kurt Froman, Mary Giattino, Cassidy Hagel, Regan Haley, David Hibbard, Karen Hyland, Aaron Kaburick, Nicholas Lampiasi, Rebecca Marlowe, Katie Micha, Alec Osher, Vanessa Russo, Nathan Scherich, Nicholas Sipes, Dorothy Stanley, Kristopher Thompson-Bolden, Beatrice Tulchin, Genai Veal, Olivia Wang, Branch Woodman, Katrina Yaukey and Danielle Znutas.
Billy Elliot opened on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre on November 13, 2008 and received 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
