The Labor Day holiday weekend gave Broadway’s box offices a slight lift, as the threat of Hurricane Earl proved vastly overstated. (Heck, it hardly even rained in the city!) On the other hand, the return of Hurricane Nathan—star Nathan Lane, that is—from a week of vacation added more than $300,000 to the grosses at The Addams Family. Meanwhile, Broadway said farewell to the talented dancers of Come Fly Away, which ended its run at the Marquis Theatre.
