Watch out, Armfeldts, there’s a new mother and daughter on Broadway! With the fall season gathering steam, another formidable pair of actresses is roaring into town in Mrs. Warren’s Profession, and Broadway.com’s resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson jumped at the chance to capture Cherry Jones and Sally Hawkins in this family affair. He immortalizes the warring Warrens during one of their ever-so-elegant sparring matches over—what else?—that pesky profession. What is Mrs. Warren’s profession, you ask? Roundabout Theater Company's revival of the George Bernard Shaw classic opens October 3 at the American Airlines Theatre—come find out for yourself!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Photo by Matthew Murphy
