Mario Lopez and Chorus Line Sweetheart Courtney Mazza Welcome Baby Girl

A new cast member has been added Lopez/Mazza family, and proud papa Mario Lopez couldn’t be happier. Mario Lopez and girlfriend Courtney Mazza welcomed Gia Francesca Lopez to the world September 10. Gia is the couple’s first child, and arrived weighing in at six pounds and four ounces.

Lopez seemed in awe of Mazza, who he described as "a rock star" to Extra. “She was so tough and so strong during the whole thing," he said.

In addition to Extra, Lopez has hosted America’s Best Dance Crew, not to mention many a beauty pageant. For some, he will always be lovingly remembered as muscle-tank poster-boy A.C. Slater on 90s television show Saved By the Bell.

Mazza’s Broadway credits include The Little Mermaid and Cry-Baby. The pair met while both were performing in the most recent Broadway revival of A Chorus Line.

"I woke up this morning as a regular guy and going to bed tonight as a father," Lopez told Extra on the day Gia was born. One singular sensation, indeed!
