Earlier this week Tony winner Sutton Foster finished her first foray into off-Broadway plays as the dark comedy Trust came to an end. But after sporting the show's very un-Sutton like dominatrix outfits, will she ever venture back? “I hope they’ll have me [in another show]," she told Broadway.com, "and the dirtier, the better!”
In addition to Trust, Foster has been quite the busy lady lately with starring roles in the Actors Fund They’re Playing Our Song benefit and a reading of new musical Bonnie and Clyde: A Folktale. “I don’t know how I do it all,” the actress said. “The problem is I say 'yes' a lot, so when people ask me to do something, I’ll agree and then later go, ‘Ohhhh my god, how can I do all this!’”
Foster's schedule will remain hectic as she readies to return to her musical roots in the spring, starring as Reno Sweeney in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Anything Goes. “I’m just excited to be in a big Broadway musical again, with tap dancing and all those old fashioned songs,” she said of the Cole Porter tuner. “It’s the role of a lifetime, and I’m excited to put a new spin on this musical that so many people love.”
