Manuel Herrera will join the previously announced Eve Plumb (once known as television’s most famous overlooked middle sister, Jan Brady) in the forthcoming off-Broadway comedy Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating & Marriage. Performances begin October 7 at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater at Sofia's, and opening night is set for October 24. Sarah Saltzberg (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) co-wrote the show with producer Ken Davenport (Altar Boyz), who will also direct.
Herrera has been featured on Broadway in Legally Blonde, Sweet Charity, Wicked and The Music Man, and off-Broadway in The Seven.
In Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating & Marriage, Herrera will star as sidekick Paco to Plumb’s Miss Abigail, described as “Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post.” Based on an advice book by Abigail Grotke, the comedy follows a sought-after relationship expert who helps celebrities with their chaotic love lives. Together, Miss Abigail and Paco travel the world dispensing advice on dating.
