Additional casting has been announced for the York Theatre Company’s remaining Musicals in Mufti concert series. Among those set to appear are Erin Mackey (Sondheim on Sondheim, Wicked) in I Remember Mama, which will run October 8-10, and Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show], The Little Mermaid) in I Love My Wife, running October 22-24. Complete casting has also been announced for The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd, which is set to run October 1-3.
The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd will feature Brandi Burkhardt (A Tale of Two Cities), Veronica Kuehn (Mamma Mia!), Zonya Love (The Color Purple), Eliza Maher (Seussical nat’l tour), Ruthie Ann Miles (Avenue Q), newcomer Elly Noble and Kay Trinidad (The Little Mermaid). They join the previously announced Jim Brochu (Zero Hour), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime) and Josh Grisetti (Enter Laughing, The Musical). Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) will direct, with music direction by Ethyl Will. The show features a book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.
I Remember Mama will feature Mackey as Katrin and Tony winner George S. Irving reprising his role of Uncle Chris from the original Broadway production. Michael Montel will direct, with Mark Hartman as music director. The show features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Martin Charnin and a book by Thomas Meehan.
I Love My Wife will feature Blickenstaff, Josh Grisetti, Adam Monley (Mamma Mia! ) and Patti Murin (Xanadu). Carl Andress (The Divine Sister) will direct, with music direction by Matt Castle (Company). The show features a score by Cy Coleman and book and lyrics by Michael Stewart.
Each concert will play five performances at the Theatre at St. Peter’s.
