As The Addams Family’s quickly maturing daughter Wednesday, Krysta Rodriguez is used to gloomy surroundings. The actress decided to maintain a very Wednesday-like atmosphere in her Lunt-Fontanne Theatre dressing room by hanging black curtains and painting the walls violet—but she allows her own warm personality to shine through by decorating it with special keepsakes. “I’ve spent a lot of time making this room exactly how I want it so I love being in here,” she says. Rodriguez invited Broadway.com into her darkened abode (don’t worry, it’s free of the Addams mansion’s giant squid and bed monster inhabitants) to show off what makes her smile. Take a look! And if you're crazy for Krysta, be sure to check out her new comedy The Virginity Hit in select movie theaters September 17!

"This is my family on vacation in St. Lucia. I like to always have pictures of them everywhere. My parents are the best!"
"I like to keep my Broadway.com Audience Award out to bug [co-star Jackie Hoffman], but it really was a cool experience to have people vote for me. Our show won a lot of those awards, which was really exciting."
"My parents gave me this on opening night. It’s an actual pen on paper rendering of Wednesday by Charles Addams. It’s one of the first drawings he did of her, so it’s very rare. I like to keep it here because it brings me back to his original concept."
"This cat doll keeps me laughing all the time. My family friends came to see the show in Chicago and they know I like Chihuahuas so they wanted to give me one as a gift, but when they handed it to me, I squeezed it and it started to meow. Clearly it’s a cat! It’s going to follow me everywhere because it’s so hysterical."
"I take naps every day on my couch, especially on two-show days. I’ll be running errands and then just put up my ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign and lay down—where I can see my giant Wednesday poster outside. I’ve never had a window in a dressing room, let alone one that’s a floor to ceiling, arched, gorgeous Juliet balcony!"
