Elf Brings the Holiday Spirit to Broadway

Elf, the new musical based on the popular 2003 movie of the same name, begins performances at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Directed by Casey Nicholaw, Elf stars Sebastian Arcelus as Buddy, a human orphan raised at Santa Claus' North Pole workshop who believes he is a Christmas elf. When Buddy learns the identity of his true parents, he sets out to New York City to find his birth father who (gasp!) is on Santa's naughty list. The show co-stars Tony winner Beth Leavel, Amy Spanger and Cheers' George Wendt as Santa and features a score by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin.
