Bethenny Frankel wants her daughter to love Broadway when she grows up. “I hope she’ll want to go to Billy Elliot,” Frankel told Broadway.com about her five-month old daughter Bryn, “and I hope Grease or West Side Story will be playing. I’ll take her to all the musicals!”
Frankel is a reality TV star (The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Getting Married?), bestselling author (Naturally Thin, The Skinnygirl Dish), natural foods chef and new mom. She chatted with Broadway.com at the launch of new baby line Bright Starts, where she shared her tips on simplifying life (baby wipes as makeup remover! store infant clothing in giant Ziploc bags!) and joked about upcoming Broadway musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. “I should star in that,” she laughed. “I make jokes, but I’m not really on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I’m actually on the verge of figuring out how to balance it all.”
A longtime fan of Broadway, Frankel says she’s looking forward to getting back to theatergoing. “I’d love to go see a show. They usually start at 8pm and Bryn goes down at 7:30, so it’s one thing I actually could do.” Does she think that The Real Housewives of New York City would be good source material for a show? “It actually would make a good musical,” she told us. “I’d see it!”
