After a popular Facebook campaign to have Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson kiss his onscreen partner Eric Stonestreet on TV's Emmy winning comedy Modern Family, the couple finally locked lips...but Ferguson first had to pucker up to his TV dad, Ed O'Neill! In the new season's second episode, The Kiss, Cameron (Stonestreet, who is straight in real life) complained about Mitchell's (Ferguson, who's openly gay) fear of public affection and the always vocal Pritchett-Dunphy clan did their best to solve the problem, linking Mitch's phobia to the lack of hugs and kisses delivered by Jay (O'Neill). Ferguson's Broadway credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and On the Town...and not to mention a recent hilarious appearance on Broadway.com's own Side by Side by Susan Blackwell. Stonestreet took home an Emmy earlier this year for his Modern Family role. Click below to watch all the embracing!
